Yep, I was pretty bored today, so I decided to help a friend out by previewing ten new shows he was considering putting on his file server on IRC. He only had enough space for five of them, so he needed external opinions. I've only watched seven of the ten so far, but here's what I thought of them.

Ragnarok
Genre: Fantasy
Description: Very much like an RPG. That's really all I can say about it at the moment.
Rating: 6/10. It kept my attention somewhat well, but the story seemed to be lacking, and it developed fairly slowly. The animation was beautiful, though.

Tehjou Tenge
Genre: High school fantasy-type thing
Description: Quite unusual. These new kids at this school (I watched it a while ago and forgot all the names ^^; ) try to "take over" by fighting all the other students. Three students, one of them also new, defend everyone else and are successful. There's also a sort of love plot going on.
Rating: 9/10. It's unusual enough to get me interested, but not so strange that I'm going to shy away from it. The animation is fantastic, the music is wonderful, and the plot seems to be able to go somewhere. This was determined a keeper.

Monster
Genre: Not really sure, looked to be like "General Hospital"
Description: Again, I'm not really sure. This doctor is told to operate on more important patients than the ones he was scheduled to work on, and thus the other people die from lack of proper surgery.
Rating: 0/10. Incredibly boring, doesn't seem to go anywhere. WAY too much like "General Hospital".

Bakuretsu Tenshi
Genre: Giant Robot
Description: Random kid gets hired as a cook for these four women who fight using giant robots. Not really what it seems from this description, but I can't think of any other way to put it.
Rating: 5/10. It was okay, I guess. The animation was probably the only saving grace for me for this show. I don't really see the story at all. Nonetheless, the guy I'm helping out liked it so much that it's also officially a keeper.

Madlax
Genre: Whatever genre you'd put "Noir" in
Description: This girl named Madlax is basically a hired help, but also a deadly assassin. She does her job with every attempt to kill as few people as possible, it seems, but that number just won't stay low.
Rating: 9/10. VERY much like Noir (done by the same people). This is not a bad thing. The music is breathtaking, and, as usual, the animation is lovely. I'm not sure where the plot is going to go, but in this case, I'm glad for that fact. This was a keeper.

Midori no Hibi
Genre: I have no idea... strange?
Description: This guy wishes the girls would love him, but because he acts like a street punk, they're all scared of him. Then, this girl who apparently does like him, named Midori, becomes his right hand. Quite literally.
Rating: 3/10. WAY too strange for my tastes. Also, a few too many, umm, "euphemisms" for masturbation used throughout the plot.

Interlude
Genre: Strange, perhaps horror
Description: This guy keeps having different memories than those around him who were also with him at the time of the memories. Shadows seperating themselves from people, zombies, monsters, a strange flame dog named "Hedgehog", and some girl who only he can see and only at certain times...
Rating: 9/10. The episodes are a tad long (approx. 40 minutes), but it does help with the plot, which, by the way, is amazing so far. Yes, it's strange, but I really want to see how it continues. This was one of my keepers, but the guy I'm helping out hasn't decided on it yet.

If you were counting, you'd know that was seven series. My personal keepers were Madlax, Tenjou Tenge, and Interlude, which I *will* continue to watch as he gets the episodes. Hopefully, tomorrow, I will have reviews of the other three series.
