My hypothesis about the ink cartidges for my printer was correct.

I was going to say more, but I honestly can't remember what it was. Oh well. Had the connection not decided to die randomly as I clicked on the link to go to the update journal page, I'd probably have it here.
Oh yeah, there was one thing: While I was home for the winter, I came across this sketch I did while I was bored in religion class in high school. I only today decided to switch over to Windows briefly so I could scan it in (I had to do so anyway to align the ink cartridge). It can be seen here. (Yes, that's pencil fuzz and whatnot around it; no, that wasn't purposeful; and no, I'm not fixing it.) Just thought it was cool, is all.
