baphijmm: (Crazy)

I'd been trying to find the time to post this, but between work, work, more work, and degaussing from work, I never had the time to yesterday.

Last night, I had a spectacular dream. It was so realistic that, at multiple points, I even questioned if it might have been a dream but shrugged it off when I couldn't wake myself or find fault in the world in-question. This probably happens more often with me because of my narcolepsy.

Anyway, in spite of being awesome, there wasn't terribly much to it; it was something of a slice-of-life dream, wherein I was just me, and the world was just the world. At one point I snuck into a facility that had something to do with electronics under the guise of a garbage man; upon sneaking out with a large arm-full of stuff, I noticed they were actually getting rid of a number of SGI computers. For fear of blowing my cover however, I decided to wait to grab them until they were actually curbed. Later, as I walked down a main road at night with the same load of crap in my arms (I was carrying it to the dump), I first questioned the reality of the dream. Upon looking around, closing and re-opening my eyes, and admiring the view of the small city I was in, I realized it couldn't have been a dream.

Shortly thereafter, I was picked up by a number of friends in a long station-wagon; I informed them that there was something they might be interested in seeing (the SGIs), but not the exact nature of this thing. We all decided to go after dark to see them. Upon arriving at the spot however, one of the friends and I had a race to see who could get there first; during this race, time began to slow down, and the dream finally broke.

I know dreams are little more than random firings of synapses as the brain degausses; however, it's experiences like this that make it incredibly difficult for me to just discount the possibility of Dreamtime.

Needless to say, having been essentially awake that entire time, I was not very well-rested upon waking up.
