Wow, what a weekend.

Friday, my roommates got me back into LoZ:WW, so I decided to just start over on it. It got kind of frustrating in several places (things you're supposed to do randomly more often than others just didn't happen, the monsters were more ass than usual, etc.), but it's still a fun game. I'm currently in the Earth Temple. In my previous game, I got to the Wind Temple before I gave up. :P

Saturday, I got up, got ready, and played a bit more Wind Waker before [livejournal.com profile] skitzycat and [livejournal.com profile] shimmerfox showed up so I could hitch a ride to Albuquerque. They were going to the Zoo Boo at the Rio Grande Zoo, and I decided I'd like to tag along. Treth was asked to drive. When we got up there, we met up with [livejournal.com profile] kit_foxy (first time I'd finally gotten to meet him), Sabot, and Carol, and generally walked around enjoying ourselves. (True, it wasn't as big and impressive as the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens, but that's kind of hard to top; only zoo I've seen that really does so is the San Diego Zoo. It was still a nice zoo, though.) We met up with [livejournal.com profile] rexar towards the end of our stay; he had just paid the admission fee and we were leaving. ^^;

Afterwards, we all congregated at Sabot's house (Furry Central), watched a bit of "Drawn Together", and discussed where we were all going to go. Carol was going to be singing in an opera that evening (Julius Caesar, though I don't know the official title of the opera), and a few folks were going to see that, while others were planning on spending the time watching Doom. I joined the second. (I know, I'm an uncultured boor, but meh.)

Honestly, it wasn't that bad. Actually, for a B-Class Action movie, it was probably one of the better ones out there, if you shut your brain off (that's how you're supposed to watch that kind of movie). Like, pay no attention that genetic manipulation is done by simply injecting you with the chromosome, or that genetic mutations turn you into either a god or a demon depending on the rest of your DNA. But, I digress. Towards the end was the infamous "FPS Scene"; it was surprisingly well-done (though, there's a bit that can easily give you motion sickness).

After everything was over, we got back to Sabot's house, Rexar gave me his coat so I could use it for RHPS, and we all left again for Socorro. We made it with time to spare for Rocky. ^^

Last night's Rocky was awesome. I convinced Ted and Travis to go (Okay, we "convinced" Travis by dragging him once we got him out of the room, and Jeff convinced Ted just to see what Ted's reaction would be); they both enjoyed it a lot. Maybe not to the point of wanting to go again, but they did have a lot of fun. Treth showed up as "premature ejaculation: I came in my pants".

Billy did a bit of a preview for the movie he had been working on the previous semester, which didn't look half-bad at all, and we got under way. Fun times.

Woke up today at 2 PM only to realize it was 1 PM. Stupid Daylight Savings Time and no warning whatsoever...

EDIT:

Not that I fully agree with most of the test, but hey, it's still there.
